Day 1: Arrival
Arrival at Port Louis airport, Plaisance or Ramgoolam international, are met by our team and transferred to Moevenpick Resort/ Le Coco beach resort (4****) for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Curepipe to Chamarel (7 couloured Earth)
Breakfast, are picked up for a trip to the interior of the island, with its marvelous sights and Trou Aux Cerfs, its dormant volcano. The visit starts in Curepipe, one of the largest commercial and residential towns situated near Trou Aux Cerfs where you will find a great variety of local and duty free products in the city centre. We shall also stop at one of the factories specialising in the famous ships models. The trip will continue through Mare aux Vacoas, Plaine Champagne, Grand Bassin (where Hindu pilgrims gather every year) and the Black River Gorge down to Chamarel, offering a variety of landscapes ranging from dense continental forests, luxuriant tropical vegetation, against the blue of the Indian Ocean.
A sumptuous meal (without drinks), in the enchanting valley of Chamarel at the Restaurant “Le Chamarel” or in a Chinese Restaurant in Curepipe.
Dinner and overnight at Movenpick hotel/ Le Coco beach resort (4****)
Day 3: Day at leisure
Breakfast and spend this day simply relaxing on the beaches or in your hotel. Visit the shops, indulge in the water sports available or spend a lazy day on the beach. This evening, enjoy the world-renowned sensuous Sega Dance performance – a highlight dinner entertainment. (B, D). Note: Sega Dance performance may be scheduled for another day of your stay at the hotel. Later evening enjoy the sunset. Dinner and overnight at Movenpick hotel/ Le Coco beach resort (4****)
Day 4: “The Tea Route”
Breakfast and leave to discover the traditional side of Mauritius. It starts in Curepipe with the visit of “Domain des Aubineaux”, one of the few remaining typical colonial houses of the high plateaus. The house was built in 1872. You will be able to admire the interior of this beautiful house with its authentic furniture from days gone by, its paintings as well as photographs of Curepipe as it was in the past. Domaine des Aubineaux was home to Bois Chéri tea estate’s owner. “Bois Chéri” at your service for more than 100 years. During a guided tour of the tea factory, you will be able to witness the transformation of this beverage, which is the most appreciated in Mauritius. Discover a thousand and one secrets about ea during the visit of the museum. You may then stop over at our chalet for a tasting session of our teas from where you will see a panoramic view of the south of the island. “Le Saint Aubin” in the south of the estate, you’ll discover a plantation house built in 1819 which has since been converted into a “table d’hôte”. The house will welcome you for a typical Mauritian lunch. During your visit of the house, you may enjoy the tropical garden, visit the anthurium greenhouses and the vanilla house. Day 5: Depart
Breakfast and prepare to check out. You will be picked up again by our representatives and taken to the airport in time for your flight home.
