Mauritius is located approximately 2000 kilometres to the south eastern coast of Africa and lies east of Madagascar on 20°5, 57.5E. The country covers an area of 1865km_ with 330 kilometres of coastline. Mauritius is 45km in width and 65km in length.
7 DAYS TRIP TO MAURITIUS- PORT LOUIS
Day 1: ARRIVE MAURITIUS
On arrival in Mauritius you will be met and transferred by our representative to your Port Louis hotel (check in after 1400 hours). The rest of the day is free to soak in the tropical paradise ambience. (B, D). Transfers and meals will be provided accordingly.
Bed dinner and overnight at a hotel.
Day 2: DAY AT LEISURE
After a relaxed buffet breakfast the rest of the day is at leisure to wander around this exotic and picturesque island on your own. Visit the shops, indulge in the water sports available or spend a lazy day on the beach. This evening, enjoy the world-renowned sensuous Sega Dance performance – a highlight dinner entertainment. (B, D). Note: Sega Dance performance may be scheduled for another day of your stay at the hotel.
Day 3: NORTH MAURITIUS EXCURSION
Today, you go on a panoramic sightseeing tour of Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius. On the tour you will see The Harbour, La Citadelle – a stone fortress situated on top of a hill offering a magnificent view of Port Louis which guards Mauritius to this day and the Natural History Museum which has a replica of the Mauritian National Bird, the Dodo. Later, you will go window-shopping at Port Louis Market, where everything is sold amidst a riot of colours. You will then be taken to the Pamplemousses Gardens, which has one of the largest collections of exotic plants in the world including the giant water lilies and Talipot. (B, D)
Day 4: FULL DAY EXCURSION TO Ile Aux Cerfs
Today, you proceed for a full day excursion to the picturesque island of Ile aux Cerfs. Your journey begins with a boat ride off the eastern coast. Enjoy the white, palm-fringed sand stretches and aquamarine waters. (B, D)
Day 5: GUIDED EXCURSION TO SOUTH MAURITIUS
Today, enjoy a full day guided excursion to south of the island. You will visit the Floreal Shop Factory; Troux aux Cerfs an extinct volcanic crater covered with thick lush greenery offering a breathtaking view from atop; Grand Bassin - one of the island’s two natural lakes and also a place of pilgrimage for Mauritians of Hindu faith; enjoy the splendid view of the Black River Gorges - an ideal sanctuary of flora and fauna of the island; the fascinating dunes of Chamarel - the ‘Seven Coloured Earth’, a natural phenomenon caused by volcanic erosion; the Crocodile Park and Giris Beach. (B, D).
Day 6: DAY AT LEISURE
Today, you have the day at leisure to discover this wonderful island on your own. (B, D)
Day 7: RETURN HOME
Today is the last day of your holiday on this paradise island. Bid farewell to Mauritius (check out of the hotel at 1200 hours) and your tour comes to an end as you transfer to the airport for your flight home.
