LUB 002: 11 DAYS BIRDING SAFARI
Day 1: Arrival, - Kampala then To Murchison Falls National
Park
Early arrival, at least before 10:00am to be met by your driver/guide at
the Airport and transfer to Kampala to change some money then travel to
Murchison Falls National Park with an afternoon en route bird watching tour
to the top of the falls. Birding through the Budongo Forest and along the
Sambiya Riverine forest Valley introduces you to Silverberg, Viteline masked
weaver, Rock pratincoles, Palm nut Vulture, Black Kite. Later, return to
relax at you hotel, then dinner and overnight at Red Chillie Tented Camp.

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park
Morning launch cruise aboard the "shoebill boat" to the delta
area for a half-day bird watching cruise in the swamps. Bird species here
include the rare shoe billed; saddle Billed & Abdim's Stork. Also look
out for Pied Kingfisher, Malachite Kingfisher and the African skimmer. Return
for lunch then take an evening drive though the park to and return late
evening for your Dinner and overnight at Red Chillie Tented Camp.

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park
Morning transfer to Pabidi Forest. Birds here include the Black collared
Lovebird, Brown Illadopsis, Jameson's Wattle eye, Brown Twin spot and others.
Later after lunch, take another boat cruise to the Delta. Water birds residing
in the rich swamps here include Grey Headed Kingfisher, Great white egret,
African Darter, Spoonbills, Black crake, and the Lilly trotter. Then return
to your accommodation to relax, then dinner and Overnight at Red Chillie
Tented Camp.

Day 4: Murchison Falls – Fort Portal
Have good breakfast, then depart for Fort portal arriving late afternoon
for an evening bird walk highlighting the Scaly Francolin, Black bellied
seed cracker, Marsh Tchagra, Narina Trogons and many more along the edges
of the Kibale Forest National Park. Later check in for dinner and overnight
at Rwenzori View Guest House.

Day 5: Kibale Forest National Park
Have your breakfast, then we Kibale Forest National Park, reputable of having
the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East-Africa.
A guided nature walk in the tropical rain forest in search of the wild chimpanzees,
red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys as well as bird species
such as the Blue Breasted Kingfisher, Black Billed Turaco, Greenbuls, white
Napped Pigeon, Narina’s Trogon, Pied Hornbill, Purple Headed and Chestnut,
winged Starlings, White Headed Wood Hoopoe, Petits Cuckoo Shrike, and many
more
Return for lunch then visit the Bigodi swamp in the afternoon which will
probably yield spotting of Papyrus Gonolek, Snowy Robin chat, Grey - capped
Robin chat, White spotted Fluff tail, later return to the Lodge for your
relaxation then dinner and overnight, Rwenzori View Guest House.

Day 6: Semliki Game Reserve
Have your breakfast and depart to Semliki Game Reserve with bird watching
and boat cruises on Lake Albert. Common birds here include Black winged
oriole, ground thrush, spot-breasted Ibis, White Throated Blue Swallow,
Grant's Blue Bill, and Dwarf Kingfisher; we bird all afternoon then later
check in for dinner and overnight at Lake Albert Camp.
For upgrade consider Semliki Safari Lodge.
Day 7: Fort portal – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Have breakfast, then we go birding in the morning then later check out and
depart to Queen Elizabeth arriving for afternoon Kazinga Channel Launch
cruise. You will most likely spot, African Skimmer, White Pelican, White
faced whistling duck, African Fish Eagle, Cormorants and other birds, later
dinner and overnight at Mweya Guest House.

Day 8: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Breakfast and spend the morning bird watching before returning to the bird
hide at Mweya where spotting of birds will be done in concealment, Then
dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge

Day 9: Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Have your early breakfast and depart to Bwindi along the Maramagambo Forest
before Bwindi
Impenetrable Park for an evening bird walk along the Munyaga River. This
walk is recommended for the spotting of Blue fly catcher, Ludher's bush
shrike, Long crested eagle, then dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community
bandas
For upgrade consider Bwindi Tented Camp.
Day 10: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Morning take a guided forest walk in the Bwindi Impenetrable forest for
the forest endemics. See, Black rough wing swallow, McKinnon's Grey Shrike,
Great blue turaco and many other species, dinner and overnight at Buhoma
Community bandas/ Bwindi View.
For upgrade consider Bwindi Tented Camp
Day 11: Bwindi – Kampala and Departure
Morning breakfast, then check out and transfer to Kampala with a brief stop
at the crafts shop and proceed to Kampala then Entebbe airport for your
departure flight.
